For the past several years, my sister and I have been doing what we call the “12 days of Christmas”. We used to do it with the girls side of my mom’s family and then that kind of dwindled, but me and my sister have continued throughout the years to carry on the tradition. We used to have a little lunch and exchange the gifts, but now, we just send them to each other since we live in separate states.
So, 12 days before Christmas – Dec. 13th, we start opening gifts. They are usually little items, but sometimes bigger, just depends. You’re supposed to buy gifts throughout the year so it’s not a financial burden. I’m still working on this part. I do buy throughout the year, but not everything like my sister does. I think this coming year, my goal will literally be to buy a 12 day gift for my sister once a month. I’m hoping I can handle that…I really should be able to.
Now onto my first gift, opened on Sunday…
iTunes gift card + coffee cup holder
It’s a coffee holder – isn’t that awesome! It’s super cute and I can’t wait to use it.
And look! iTunes giftcards – woot-woot! I can’t wait to get me some new music for the gym!
