That's right! I had several goals to accomplish yesterday and I'm happy to say that I actually completed them. AND it felt great!
A lot of it was work related, so it felt good to get stuff done, especially since the holidays are upon us.
Onto yesterday's eats:
Breakfast: To-Go Oats – (149 cal)
- 1/4 quick oats
- 2 Tbsp ground oats
- 1 Tbsp brown sugar (not packed)
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- a few chopped walnuts
Eaten dry. You are supposed to add hot water and microwave, but I prefer stove top oats, so I just eat it plain. If I had soy or almond milk, I would eat it like cereal. But it’s still yummy this way.
1 Russian tea cake cookie (approx 72 cal)
Lunch:
Salad with: Romain lettuce, radishes, cucumber, zucchini, broccoli, 1 Tbsp avocado, 1 egg white + 1/2 yolk. (94 cal)
Balsamic dressing – balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard, dried dill, and a little olive oil (33 cals)
Whole wheat pita – from whole foods (80 cals)
After work I headed home to get a work out in since I slept in this morning – hey, it was cold and I just wanted to stay nice and snug under the covers.
Workout: Run on treadmill
Warm-up – 10 min walking
Run – 6 miles!!!! Woo-Hoo! Speed from 5.5 – 7
Cool down: 8 min walking on treadmill
Another goal met today! It was kind of a challenge though and I hopped off the tread a few times for water. So, I did actually run 6.25 miles just so I could make up for those times. But it was tough mentally. Physically, I felt ok and probably could’ve kept going at a slower pace. But my goal is to continue adding on the mileage so I can get over 10 miles. That way I will know that I can do the 15k at the end of February. Then I need to move it outside and work on running that distance out there and then also speed it up. Lots of work for me to do.
Then I came home and jumped in the shower because I was a sweaty mess.
Dinner:
While preparing dinner – I snacked on some tortilla chips (5 chips) and homemade salsa the husband had just made – he’s the best salsa maker I tell ya! (72 calories)
I had 1/2 cup of chili with about 1 tsp of crumbled goat cheese, 1 Tbsp of Avocado and 3 black olives. So delicious! (246 cal)
Snacks: Eaten throughout the day
An unpictured gala apple (95 cal) with 1.5 tsp natural peanut butter (52.5 cal)
Dulce de Leche Luna Bar – (170 cal)
I did have a few muddy buddies before hitting the gym (55 cal) and a 1.5 tsp of peanut butter (52.5 cal)
Calories for the day: 1225 calories
