Saturday morning, we planned to go check out the after Christmas sales at Target and International Plaza Mall. So, I got up and hit the gym first thing.
Workout:
- 10 min warm-up on treadmill
- 6 mile run – under 60 mins
- 8 min cool down
After I got back, showered and had some breakfast – we headed off for some fun.
Breakfast - in a hurry, so no pic – 2 small whole wheat pitas with approx 1 Tbsp of peanut butter (160 + 105 =265 cal)
The hubby did not want to go with us, so he stayed home and “played” with his new toys. My sister and I had a blast at Target and the mall and we both came home with some hot deals. Score for us!
After we finished up at the mall, we were starving, so we headed out to get some lunch. It took us a while to decide – surprise, surprise. But we decided on Pita Pit. Love this place. I really like that vegetarian variety that they have available and vegan as well. It’s great. And they have great options for meat eaters as well, so it’s really a great place where anyone can enjoy what they eat and not have to settle for just one thing.
Lunch: Hummus Pita on Wheat – hummus, spinach, jalapeno, tomatoes, sprouts and cucumber. I also had regular Baked Lays potato chips and a coke zero. We also picked up a Turkey pita for the hubby. Somehow I managed not to take photos of this either. (approx 315 +130 = 445). I love that their website lets you build your own pita and will calculate the nutritional value. I think I’m going to play around with it, that way, I’ll know the healthiest option to choose in the future or will at least have an idea of what I’m eating and then can budget my calories accordingly.
We hung out for a while at home and then I headed off to the grocery store because we decided that we wanted to grill out on the top of our building and eat outside with the downtown and port of Tampa as our backdrop. It was pretty cold out there for Florida. But we bundled up and stood close to the grill. I really had wished we waited for another night, but the hubby wanted to do it on Saturday, which I think worked out since he really only had this weekend to hang out. I’m taking Monday and Tuesday off since my sister is in town, but the hubby is back at work today.
Dinner: Grilled Kebabs – shrimp, chicken, zucchini, bell pepper, onions, mushrooms and some green onions on the side. I had wine with dinner and my sister and the hubby had beer (approx 150 + 120= 270). For dessert we had SMORES! We used skewers to roast the marshmallows and placed the graham cracker w/ chocolate on the grill to slightly melt. It was awesome – i had 2 ( approx 270 cal)
Oh and I did have some mini resese cups – so, I’ll add-on another 175 cals for that, because I’m not sure how many I ate and it’s better to estimate high than low.
Total calories – Approx 1425 calories
