I got some good quality time in with my sister and hubby on Sunday. Things were low key, but fun. We spent the day together relaxing.
Here’s what we did today – Sunday morning, I got up and wanted to get my day started on the right foot, so I headed to the gym to get that checked off my list.
Workout: Upper Body Workout + Machine Squats
Warm-up – 10 mins on treadmill – walking
3 sets of 12 reps per exercise
- Chest Press – 12 lbs
- Bicep Curls – 10 lbs
- Bent Over Dumbell Rows – 8 lbs
- Chest Flys – 1st set 5lbs, then moved up to 8lbs
- Military press – 8lbs
- Tricep Machine – 22lbs
- Machine Squats – 10 lbs on each side
Cool-down – 10 min cool down -walking on treadmill (.5 mile)
After the gym, I showered and got ready for church and ate some breakfast
Breakfast: To-Go Oats – 1/4 quick cooking oats, 2 Tbsp ground oats, 1 Tbsp brown sugar, 1/4 tsp cinnamon, 3 pecans chopped into pieces. (150 cal)
After church we hung around and talked to a few people and then we decided to eat out for lunch…my sister had a gift card, so we went to Olive Garden. I actually don’t like the Olive Garden anymore, but my sister does and I want to do things that will make her happy and make her trip fun. The food was pretty good. I had the
Linguine alla Marinara – Pasta with a zesty blend of ripe tomatoes, onions and herbs + salad. (215 cal – I ate 1/2). I also had part of a breadstick – the bottom portion w/o butter and a salad – (approx 175 cal)
After lunch, we headed home and watched some football.
Later on, we decided to head over to Barnes & Noble to look at some books and magazines. We also had a delicious coffee too – I had a tall, sugar-free vanilla, soy latte ( 130 cal). We probably spent 3 hours there. I looked at a bunch of magazines and my sister read part of a book and then bought 3 from a new author she loves. She was so excited to find them…which made me happy. I want her to have a fun time here.
When we got home I fixed dinner – I had a pita sandwich(215 cal) + pretzel chips (75 cal)
- 1 small whole wheat pita
- 1 egg
- grilled veggies from the other night
- crumbled goat cheese
After dinner, my sister and I made Muddy Buddies – she loves them and wanted to make some for her and to take to my aunt and uncle when she visits this week. They were delicious…I made some for myselft too.
I probably had a few pieces of candy and muddy buddies – not pictured – 200 cal
We watched some TV for a while and then headed to bed.
