Where did this cold weather come from? I mean, I can’t believe it’s been only in the 50′s in Florida! But I feel for my family because they’re getting temps in the teens. Now that’s cold. It’s only bad because I only have about 4 sweaters to my name. I gave them away when we first moved to Florida a little over 2 years ago. And it’s had it’s cold days, but not like this. Last night, I made the hubby add another comforter to the bed. I think he got hot because when I woke up this morning it was only on my side.
I am currently sitting under these covers, wearhing long pants, 2 shirts, and my scarf. I’m about ready to crawl completely under the covers and sleep well. Must be that Florida blood I’ve developed since living here…it doesn’t take long I tell ya!
Ok, enough whining, let’s get onto today’s eats and events. So far, there aren’t really events are there? I’m pretty boring and stick to my routine like a champ.
Breakfast: I slpet in this morning, so I was in a little bit of a hurry this morning or I would’ve made some nice and comforting oats. But I had a toasted Cinnamon Raisin Bagel (200 cal) + 1 tsp pb (35 cal) + 1 tsp fig preserves (15 cal) – 250 cals
Snacks: 2 mini reese’s cups (88 cal) + 4 dried apricots (73 cals)
10 of these babies (69 cals)…
Lunch: Wow! I know you haven’t seen one of these in a while, but it’s back. A delicious salad today and I had some many yummy goodies in here:
- Spinach 1.5 cups (2 cal)
- zuchinni .25 cups (8 cal)
- 3 black olives (15 cal)
- 5 green olives (25 cal)
- 4 strawberries (15 cal)
- handful of pomagrante seeds
- .25 broccoli florrets (4 cal)
- 1.25 Tbsp Sabra Hummus (used as the dressing) (38 cal)
I also had about .5 cup of lentil soup ( 100 cal) and .25 cup of pom seeds (40 cal) – Lunch total 251 cals
When I got home from work, I decided to hit the gym. My left him has been bothering me for several days, but I feel the need to try and push myself. I think I need to hold back a bit. Maybe seek out the Chiropractor again. But I managed to get in an ok run. But it is leaving me anxious about my upcoming run at the end of February. I just want to run it well…be good and injury free at this running thing. I should probably take it easy for about a week, but I’ve been building up the mileage and afraid that all that hard work will have been for nothing. But I know that I should listen to my body. I just got over a groin pull not too long ago – that was with the help of a Chiropractor. Arggghhhh! It’s just frustrating when I want something but am limited with something that’s kind of out of my control. Anyway…that’s where I am today.
Workout:
- Warm-up – walked 10 mins on treadmll
- Run – 5 miles – 48:30 (woo-hooW)
- Cool down – 5 walked on treadmill6.5 mins and then did elliptical for 5 mins
After the gym, I rinsed off and made me dinner.
Dinner: I had the last of our New Year’s Day Southerner Stew (175 cal) and an Egg & Egg White (87 cals)
I also had 1 square of a Lindt 70% cocoa bar – (55 cals) + 1/8 cup of muddie buddies (55 cals) – Dinner Total 379 cals
Total calories – Approx 1092 cals
I’m tired, so I’m off to bed…peace out
