Hey y’all!
Saturday was pretty productive for me. There was one thing that we were hoping to get done, which was to get our Passport applied for. However, I didn’t realize until we got there, that you have to make an appointment if you want to go there on Saturday. Crap! Anyway, we did go and get our photos taken. So, now all we have to do is go back to the passport office and turn in our applications, pics and documents they need. I’m really excited to get my passport and then to use it in the very near future.
So, this morning, I got up early to hit the gym and did Day 2 of The Fitnessista Iron Pumping
Day 2: Legs
Warm-up – 10 mins walking on treadmill + stretching
15 min Stationary Bike
Cool down – 5 mins + stretching
After dinner, I got ready and headed out to run some errands
Breakfast: Eaten while out and about – Peanut Butter and Jelly Larabar – this rocks and tastes EXACTLY like PB&J. (210 cals)
Lunch: We didn’t really have anything for lunch – a few snacks…Baked Salth & Black Pepper Chips (120 cals) + 1 Tbsp Hummus (35 cals)
Saturday, I made some guacamole for me and the hubby
I also decided to make a sweet treat and found a great recipe in an issue of Cooking Light Magazine – Double Chocolate Biscotti.
I also read a little more of my book. It’s so good!
Saturday night, we had plans to meet up and another couple’s home and have dinner and play some games. two additional couples joined the group and it was really a great time. We had great food and wine and there was lots of laughter.
Dinner: Here was the menu for dinner, Chicken Schnitzle, steamed broccoli, rolls, wild rice-a-roni, mashed potatoes, pasta w/ alfredo sauce. For dessert, there was brownies and mini tarts made with gingersnaps, raspberries and cream cheese. They looked divine.
I just had some chicken, 1 small pieces (there were very thinly sliced), steamed broccoli, 1 roll and 1/2 cup rice-a-roni. I went back for another small piece of chicken and broccoli.
I also probably had about 3 glasses of Lambrussco wine.
We played Things, 30 secs and Who Knew? Lots of fun. The hubby and I came in 2nd place and walked away with a little gift. The deal was that from now on, whoever hosts the games, will offer prizes to the top 3 winners/teams from house hold items. Fun stuff! As they say, one man’s trash is another man’s treasure – so true.
I did have a piece of biscotti when we got home last night. It was delicious.
I read a little more of my book and crashed out because it was close to midnight.
Total calories – not really counted. Hopefully it was around 1200 – 1300.
