Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that ~ Martin Luther King, Jr.
In honor of today, I wanted to start with a quote by this great man. What an eloquent and passionate speaker. I hope that we all had the chance to take a moment today and reflect on what this day truly means. (photo from mentalfloss.com)
Now onto today’s eats and events….
Work was pretty low-key today, which was good because it enabled me to get a lot done. Love when that happens.
Today, my goal was to try and watch what I ate and not let my snacking get out of hand. I do fine for breakfast and at work because I pack my own meals and I am mindful of what I pack. My trouble seems to come after work or while I’m getting dinner ready, because I’m usually hungry by then. So, that is why I spent a lot of time prepping food for the week, to try to avoid this. I still need to work on this issue, but I think I’m getting closer. Any ideas on how not to be such a snacker is greatly appreciated.

Workout: Tonight I hit the gym. I decided to do some walking. My lower back was still a little sore, so I wanted to do something active, but low-key.
60 mins on treadmill – walking 3.7 – 4.0. I did 1:2 intervals – so it was 1 min at 0 incline going 3.7 mph and then, 2 mins at 6 incline going 4 mph.
Cool-down – 5 mins walking at 0 incline and at 3.0 mph
Have a great night!
Peace out….
