Hey there! Hope you had an awesome Monday, mine was good.
So, I was reviewing my eats today and then I got to thinking (dangerous, I know!)…I really feel that I eat a wide variety of foods. And I think the wider the better (that is the only time where I’ll say “wider” is better). I’ve always loved food, but the older I get and the more I read about food and nutrition, the more I want to experiment and taste all that’s out there. I know a lot of people who aren’t this way at all and I feel that they are missing out on some great food in this world. Not just taste wise either, but nutrition wise. I really try to expand our taste palettes at home and it’s so much fun doing so!
So, with that said, here were yesterday’s eats….
Breakfast: 1 Lg Egg w/ 1 Tbsp avocado. Yummy combo – the protein and fat combo really hold my hunger over for a while (101 cals)
I also had some delicious homemade chocolate milk:
- 1 Cup Chocolate Milk: 1 cup unsweetened regular almond milk, 1 Tbsp cocoa powder, 2 splenda packets, 1/4 tsp cinnamon (60 cals)
Snacks for the day: 1 cup raw cauliflower + 2/3 Tbsp AB (98 cals)
Roasted Chickpeas (134 cals)
I snacked on 1.25 oz of pecans (I didn’t eat this amount, it’s just a photo of what I toasted…minus what I snacked on) (252 cals)
Lunch: .25 cup cukes w. 1 Tbsp of Avocado + 4 pcs of Tofu
Skinny Cinnamon Dolce Latte (90 cals)
Dinner: Baked Tilapia + sautéed Spinach
Dessert: Espresso Custard (110 cals) – mine didn’t really set-up the way I thought it should, so I stuck it in the freezer during dinner and it was a nice rich “ice cream” later on.
Total Calories: 1277 calories
Workout: None today.
