So, I’ve been gone for a few days and instead of recap the past 5 days, I’m going to highlight some of my b-day with my sister. I turned the big 3-0 this year! I can’t believe it myself. But I am a twin, so the hubby and I decided to surprise my sister and drive up to Athens, GA. When we got there on Wednesday, she was so surprised and had no idea that we were coming. It was awsome. She was able to get off on Thurs and Fri so we could hang out. Here’s a little recap or our time up there.

We left around 8:00am to head to good ole GA

We got to Athens around 4:00 and surprised my sister. I think it took her like 2 mins to figure out what was going on. It was awesome. She was so excited to see us. She told me she had hoped we might surprise her, but that she really didn’t expect it.
The hubby and I stayed at a hotel the first night since she hadn’t planned on us being there. So we checked in and then went over to her place to head to dinner.

We ate at the hubby’s favorite place – Taqueria Del Sol…it’s the closest thing to New Mexican food he can find down here.

After dinner, we thought about walking around downtown, but it was so cold! So, we ended up heading over to Starbucks to hang out and talk.

Then we headed back to my sister’s place for a bit and then headed to our hotel to crash out….

All around Athens, they have these statues of “Uga” the bulldog, the mascot for the University of Georgia. I tried to get my photo with as many as I could. Here’s the first one I saw at our hotel…
