Crazy Busy Week!

February 4, 2010 · Leave a Comment

So, I decided not to go back and recap everyday this week.  As much as I really want to, I just don’t have the time.  This week has turned out to be so busy.  Coming back to work after missing 3 days and then starting 2 new community groups with our church – Common Ground Tampa.  A Monday night group with a variety of people and a Wednesday night couples group, which I am very much looking forward to.

So, I thought I’d post some new products that I bought at Whole Foods this week to try….

The first product I tried was Sunergia’s Soy Blue Cheese.  I really love their line of flavored tofus!  So I wanted to try this.  The texture isn’t spot on or creamy like real blue cheese, but has that tang to it like the real thing.  I liked it straight from the package, but it tasted more like cheese when I cut some up and put in my salad.  It’s also good warmed up on my eggs.  It doesn’t melt or anything, but it warms up the flavor just a bit.  I will try this again and can’t wait to try another flavor.  These products always impress me.  If I could affored it, I’d buy all of their products all of the time.

The second product I tried this week was Wildwood’s Plain Soyogurt. I wanted to try the plain because I didn’t want all of the sugar of the fruit ones, but I sweetened it up with a little splenda and vanilla creme stevia.  Not too bad.  I like the texture better than previous soy yogurts I’ve tried.  It was thick and creamy and would’ve been excellent if I would’ve added some fresh fruit or granola!  I would by this again.  I am sometimes weary of soy products, some taste funky and some are really delicious i.e. any Turtle Mountain product

 I’m glad I gave these a try!

I should be back on schedule with regular posting and good eats starting tomorrow or Saturday.  Night y’all.
