I thought this quote was very appropriate, as I am reading Memoirs of a Geisha. But it’s very appropriate for me right now. It fits in with the talks me and the hubby have been having regarding our goals and dreams. You need to actually start putting action behind your words and walk the walk, but you also must plan and think about what you’re doing and what you want to accomplish from these actions.
Yesterday was day 3 of the SB diet and I am so excited to say, that I haven’t caved in yet! I mean, I used to have excellent willpower and then through the years it has fallen away. But even though we were greeted with apples and chocolate carmel dip and freshly baked monkey bread, we resisted the temptation to partake. I mean, the kitchen smelled glorious with brown sugar and cinnamon wafting in the air. But I’m determined!
Here were my eats from yesterday…. Sorry, I’m a little behind on the blogging!
Breakfast: Protein Packed Smoothie (219 cals)

Crushed ice
Snack: 1 Serving of Roasted Almonds (170 cals) – over the weekend, I took the container of almonds I purchased at Target and divided them up into individual servings. That way, it’s ready on the go and you know how much you’re consuming. It has really been great to just grab a bag and put in my purse.
Starbucks Iced Venti Skinny Vanilla Latte (110 cals)
Broccoli + Cauliflower w/ 2 Tbsp Hummus (70 cals)
Lunch: Today I had 2 Veggie Mini Quiche (based on this recipe here)w/ no cheese (125 cals) + lots of homemade salsa (15 cals). For dessert, I had strawberry Jello (5 cals)

Dinner: We had our small group last night, so before heading out, I had about 2 Tbsp of Hummus (60 cals) and probably about 1 Tbsp of Natural Peanut butter (105 cals).
I also cooked a new stew last night
Total Calories: 1028.5 Calories
Workout: None – I slept horribly so I slept in this morning and then we got back and it was like 9:00 and I need to fix the stew. Boo!
