Hey y’all…what a busy week it’s been so far – and I’m really behind on the blogging. But I wanted to post about the new sushi place the hubby and I found the other day. So great!
Last Friday, I started it off with a great breakfast, which has quickly become my new favorite
Breakfast:
- 1/4 cup of raw oatmeal
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- 2 tsp raw almond butter
- 1 egg + 1 egg white
Snack: Blueberries + 1/2 oz goat cheese
Lunch: Friday, my boss took me out for lunch, we tried to go to Souper Jenny’s but when we got there, we found a closed restaurant and a sign on the door that said they were closed for the month of July – bummer! So, we decided to hit up Whole Foods. I chose a veggie sushi with brown rice, a water and a vegan chocolate + chocolate chip cookie
After work, I headed home to the hubby and we decided to head out for dinner. We decided on sushi – love it, what can I say. But instead of hitting up our normal place, we decided to try something new and went to a place called Sushi House. It’s in a little strip shopping center down Peachtree towards downtown.
We both started off with a sake infused martini (x2) – I think mine was called a Purple Flush and the hubby’s was called Blue Samari.
We both started with a ginger house salad
The hubby ordered this – Geisha Roll – Tuna, Salmon, cream cheese, asparagus, spicy mayo, baked roll
This was the sushi roll I chose and I can’t remember what it was called and don’t see it listed on the menu on the website. But it was HOT. I had to take off the fresh jalapeño slices – what has become of me…not not be eating enough spicy foods to keep my tolerance up – Boo.
The hubby ordered this roll…
For Dessert we shared the fried ice cream – I’ve had some good fried ice cream in the past, and I must say that this was pretty disappointing. It was 2 halves that had been fried and the vanilla ice cream laid in the middle of each half and topped with chocolate sauce. If I knew it was going to be like that I just would’ve ordered the green tea ice cream.
I can say that adding the little house from their logo was pretty cute.
Overall, we were very impressed with the sushi at Sushi house. We usually have a go-to spot for sushi, but this might become a new favorite for us. It was fresh and the rolls were creative. We had to wait a little bit to get our food, but it was definitely worth the wait.
The atmosphere was pretty low-key and would be a good date place, pretty intimate setting. Plus – they had great music playing. Sorry the pics are bad…but it was super dark in there and if I didn’t use the flash it would just be darkness everywhere. If you’re in the ATL you should definitely check this place out.
Later y’all…

That sushi looks AMAZING. Too bad I’m hundreds of miles away. Boo.
