Hey y’all!! Well, I had planned on posting last night, but I was so tired by the end of the night
Another great perk of living at our new apartment is that they offer free personal training sessions twice a week at our gym. So, I decided to take advantage of that yesterday. The sessions last 30 mins and are pretty intense!
After work though, I was so tired and thought about canceling the appointment but then just told myself to just go and quit trying to talk myself out of it. When, I got home, I got into my work out clothes and went to the gym to warm up and then had my session. I felt great afterwards and knew I would be happy I went. The mind is a powerful thing and too often I let it talk me about of things!!
Yesterday should have been a little easier to hit the gym since the hubby was out-of-town, but for some reason it wasn’t. Whenever he’s here, I just want to hang out but when he’s traveling, I’m usually a little more motivated, but not lately. I can feel myself getting lazy…I mean, I’ve been trying new things lately and seeing what’s out there, but if I’m on my on and plan on going to the gym at our place, the laziness creeps on up. Must work on that.
Workout:
- 5 min warm-up on treadmill – walking
- 27 mins on elliptical
- 30 min personal training session doing abs, arms, lunges and cardio
After the gym, I came home did a little cleaning and then fixed a green smoothie for dinner:
- 1 cup unsweetened original almond milk
- 1.5 large handfuls of spinach
- 1 Tbsp flax meal
- stevia
- crushed ice
- 1 scoop of almond butter
Other eats from today include….
Breakfast: I started the day off with an EmergenC
Breakfast was raw oats in almond milk, cinnamon and 1/2 a banana
Snack: PB&J Larabar – one of my faves!
Lunch: I had to run some errand yesterday during lunch, so I stopped by Starbucks on the way back to the office and picked up a little sweet treat. They were out of the mini vanilla scones that I adore so much and instead of saying NO, I opted for a mini donut…it was calling to me, I swear! I also had a tall iced skinny cinnamon dolce latte.
As the bad girl I am, I ate my dessert before my lunch…but you know what – life is short so you should eat dessert first – that’s my philosophy anyways. Once I returned to work, I warmed-up my 1/2 sweet potato and ate my raw celery and cucumbers with a little avocado. Pretty balanced meal if you ask me
Snack: 1 hard-boiled egg white. I also had 1/2 banana with almond butter when I got home from work, before hitting the gym.
After dinner and watching a little bit of Netflix – Miami Ink anyone? I called it a night…these shows ALWAYS suck me in.
