That would be how I would describe eats for today…we really need to go to the store, but have been really busy this week. But I have some yummy things I plan on cooking for next week, which should add a little excitement here…instead of just salads and randomness. I’m wanting to do some baking as well and since it’s a long weekend, I don’t see why that can’t be accomplished.
This morning, my day started off in a little panic mode, but turned out ok. Every night I set the alarm on my iPod touch and discovered that if you set it go off on certain days, well that’s exactly what it will do, despite the fact that you hit the on button. If you don’t have that day added, even if you hit the alarm button, the alarm will not go off. Well, lesson learned! I had planned to get up pretty early and hit the gym, but then I woke up like 30 mins late and was so upset. I debated like 10 mins – should I go to the gym or should I stay in bed….should I try and do it after work…but I’ll only have 30 mins….well, I said suck it up and go – you’re already up – just do what you can. And that’s what I did.
Workout:
10 min warm-up, walking on treadmill
Arms – 2 sets of 15 reps
- Chest press – 10 lbs
- Tricep dips
- Bicep curs – 10 lbs
- Military press – 5 lbs
- Dumb-bell bent over row – 10 lbs
- Push-ups
Abs – 1 set of 15-20 reps
- Alternating side crunches
- Weighted ball crunch-ups
- Standing side bends with weighted ball
5 min cool-down, walking on treadmill
Onto today’s eats…which are kind of random, but hey it worked for me today.
Breakfast: 1/2 cup raw oats, 1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk, 1 Tbsp AB, stevia, cinnamon
Isn’t my Hello Kitty bowl the most precious thing you’ve ever seen…ok, lie to me anyway. My boss got this for me after finding out about my little obsession with the kitty in pink!
Snack: S’mores Luna Bar – Another favorite flavor of mine (180 cals)
1 hard-boiled egg white (17 cals)
Work was busy again with our little marketing projects were planning and then there were the errands that needed to be ran. So, once that was done, I made it my way back to the office and grabbed my lunch – I was starving since it was nearly 2:00pm – yikes!
Lunch: 1 hard-boiled egg, 2 stalks of celery + cucumber slices w/ a side of Whole Foods Goddess dressing and 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
Lunch was really good and I felt good that I was getting in veggies, carbs and protein – all healthy forms!
Dinner: Quesadilla – cheese and leftover kidney bean mixture from last night, with kale, salsa and cucumber – I can’t tell you how long it’s been since I’ve had a quesadilla…long time that’s for sure. This was so delicious.
Keepin it veggie-fied that’s for sure!
Alright, I am beyond tired…so I’m crashing out!

Eee! I love HK too! Target always has the cutest Hello Kitty stuff but it’s a little embarrassing to be bringing a bunch of those items to the register…I want the toaster!
The toaster rocks! I bought it for my sister…she loves HK too, but secretly it’s because I want to use it! They even have a bubble maker, but I couldn’t justify buying it. I do have some band-aids though.
